I saw this today on the blog of Tim Ferriss and I wanted to share it with you.
It’s a commencement speech the author Neil Gaiman recently made for a university.
Really entertaining speech, but my favourite line from it, where Neil talks about the status quo is:
“the old rules are crumbling, and nobody knows what the new rules are, so make up your own rules”
It’s pretty obvious, but we live in a new era of technology and communication.
With a video on YouTube you can reach more people, or more importantly the “right” people, than television could in the past.
Just think about that for a moment.
There are seven billion people in the world, and you have the tools available to connect with them.
So what are you gunna do?
By the way – my fav Neil Gaiman book is ‘American Gods’
