I’ve just been updating my membership site software for LightningListbuilder.com

While I was inside the WordPress admin area, I realized that I hadn’t properly secured all the videos within the membership site.. oops!

Easy fixed though.

Using a WordPress plugin provided by my secure membership software, I fixed everything up in a couple of minutes.

Here’s a video of what I did:

If you are wondering how the membership site is built, it’s a WordPress blog using the Optimize Press theme.

Security is provided by Digital Access Pass, and files stored on Amazon S3 are protected by the S3MediaVault plugin.

Nice and to the point. Everyone should be doing this who hosts their own video content!!

For sure, especially when the videos should only be accessible to members.

    Hi David,

What about Realplayer downloads? Will members of your membership website be able to download your videos using Realplayer?

    Please let me know

    Regards
    Victor

Victor, They will be able to play the files with Realplayer from the membership site, but they won’t be able to download it to their computer.

The security will protect the file and prevent this.

      Hope this answers your question.
